AusSpecs Newsletter

Hello From AusSpecs A Big Hello from AusSpecs

2009 Newsletter

As the year draws to a close we wanted to say hello, thank you for your support in the past years plus bring you up to date with what is happening and what has happened in the past year.
The Strong Aussie Dollar : This is a huge bonus considering that virtually all optical frames sold in Australia are imported from overseas (mostly China) so with the dollar in the nineties we are really happy to pass on the savings to you, our valued clients.
Current Specials : We know you are busy and may not wish to read all of this newsletter so here are the current specials in case this is of interest.
**** Current Super Special ****
Reading or Distance glasses from $38.00
2 Pair (Various Frames) for ONLY $88.00*
2 pair multifocal frames for ONLY $88.00* Plus Lenses
Discount Code : As an existing customer of Ausspecs you should already have the 10% "welcome_back" discount code as a thank you for buying your glasses from AusSpecs. This code is still active and you are very welcome to make use of it.

It has all happened in 2009

  • Special News : We are really pleased to announce our Sydney NSW Operation! Things are running smoothly although I have to say that they are still pretty hectic, but we are having fun!

  • 600 frames and colours: Yes over 600 frames and different colours to choose from. This now gives you the biggest selection in Aus. We have also fixed a shortcoming by having a large range of Childrens glasses and yes, we now have Polarized Prescription Lenses for the fisherpersons.

  • Client Feedback : We have had some wonderful feedback from you which is fantastic. This feedback is so important to us as it tells us that we are on (or off) track plus it lets the skeptics know that AusSpecs can be a trusted supplier of your next pair of prescription Glasses.

  • Prices Drop : As mentioned above, while others have raised their prices we have reduced ours due to the high Australian Dollar and we have passed this on to our clients. It is our stated goal to be the cheapest in Australia and at the same time have the best quality glasses around.

  • Total Revamp ; The website is constantly evolving as we strive to make things easier and quicker for our clients. Sometime it works well (sometimes not so well) but we think we you will be happy with the current version. Even with 600 frames we hope you will find it a simple matter to find the ones you want.

  • Brand Name Frames : Having done a deal with the suppliers of Nile, Lorie, Rhine and Parana we can now offer these Brand Named Glasses at a cost you will not believe.

There are some fabulous frames from just $49.50 and this still includes lenses !

  • Brand Name Sunglasses Dropped : Before putting these into stock a year ago we tossed and turned over whether they were worthwhile. Well the latter won out as you voiced your opinion stongly against the silliness of hundreds of dollars for a plastic frame with a name on it when we have heaps on the site just as good looking. So out the door they went.

From the Boss :
Hello

On behalf of all the staff I just want to pass on my sincere thanks to you for your support over the past year and hope that we can continue to assist in saving you huge amounts of money when it comes to buying prescription spectacles for years to come.

Wow what a year in the optical Industry!

No doubt you have seen the battle of the giants with the major players going head to head with Spec Savers. It is fabulous for the Australian public that have been paying through the nose for decades.

Perhaps now our Health Funds can put the money saved to good use rather than spending it on overpriced spectacle frames. Maybe lower premiums...now that would that be nice.

Of course, the best bit is that AusSpecs is still miles in front on price and equal on quality so we will still be here long after the dust settles.
In a recent survey on the site it is unbelievable the number of people that answered "a friend" to the question on how they heard about AusSpecs. Really, a big big thank you for spreading the word, please keep it up !
Well, thank you again and please have a safe and happy Christmas period !
